This aluminium spiral woven wire mesh curtain is made of aluminium magnesium alloy wire painted in the colour of your design, then woven in a spiral pattern that hangs as a soft fabric rather than a rigid screen. The spiral weave gives an even mesh opening and clear vision through the surface, while the fabric itself stays flexible enough to fold, gather and pull to one side. That combination is what makes it work as an interior partition, a suspended ceiling curtain or a light diffusing drape in hotel lobbies, exhibition halls, bars, offices, shopping malls and art galleries.
The reason designers pick aluminium over steel for this application is weight. At the same 1.2 mm wire and 8 mm aperture, the aluminium magnesium version weighs about 1.2 kg per square metre, while a carbon steel spiral mesh of the same opening weighs around 6 kg per square metre. On a full height partition or a ceiling run, that difference decides how much fixing structure the site needs, how many people it takes to install a panel, and whether the fabric can still be pulled open by hand. The mesh is supplied with rings and a pulling handle so it can be hung, gathered and operated without special tooling.

Interior partitions are the most common brief. A single curtain can close a conference area without building a wall, and because the fabric is only about 1.2 kg per square metre the ceiling track stays light. In hotel and retail work the same mesh is used as a suspended ceiling curtain to soften downlights, as a stairwell drape, and as a railing screen where the client wants separation without blocking the view. Exhibition stands use it because it can be rolled, shipped and re hung for the next show.
Because the aperture range runs from 4 x 4 mm to 35 x 35 mm, the designer can choose between a dense surface that reads almost solid in photographs and an open surface that keeps the space visibly connected. The mesh is also used for light curtains in daylit atriums and for shading and screening where a client wants a metallic finish rather than a textile.
Ordering and Quality AssuranceColour, wire diameter and aperture are confirmed at the quotation stage, because painted fabric is produced per order and the finish cannot be matched across separate runs. We recommend approving a painted sample before the bulk order, especially where the mesh sits next to a specified paint or stone finish. Kindelong Wire Mesh has been producing woven mesh since 1986, works from a 266,400 square metre facility with more than 400 sets of drawing, annealing, weaving, cutting, punching and slitting machines, and holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
Before you order, ask for our current stock list, where over run rolls are offered at lower prices, and tell us the space to be covered, the hanging height and the colour requirement so that we can confirm the right aperture and weight for your fixing detail.
