316L Stainless Steel 100 Mesh Woven Wire Mesh Filter Screen 150 Micron Filtration Cloth Roll

This 316L stainless steel 100 mesh woven wire mesh filter screen is a plain weave filter cloth woven from 0.10 mm AISI 316L wire, giving a nominal aperture of 0.150 mm, or 150 micron. It is produced on precision sulzer looms with electronic warp tension control, so the mesh count, wire diameter and opening size stay within a tight tolerance across the full width of every roll. For buyers who screen liquids, powders or slurries, the grade and the mesh count are the two numbers that decide whether a filter element performs or fails, and this cloth is built to hold both.

Grade 316L is the low carbon version of 316 stainless steel, with 2.0 to 3.0 percent molybdenum added to the nickel chromium matrix. That chemistry is what allows the cloth to sit in chlorides, seawater, dilute sulphuric acid and alkaline washdown without pitting, and it keeps intergranular corrosion away from welded edges and pleated filter packs. Because 316L is the default specification for pharmaceutical, food and marine filtration, this mesh can be quoted against the grade wording that purchasing departments actually write on their enquiry sheets, rather than being sold as a generic stainless screen.

• Consistent roll quality: 30 m and 50 m rolls, 1.0 m to 2.0 m width, with flat lying selvage so the cloth feeds cleanly through automatic pleaters and die cutters.

The 100 mesh 316L cloth is normally specified where filtration accuracy matters more than flow rate. Typical uses include hydraulic and lube oil polishing filters, polymer and resin melt screens, catalyst recovery in chemical plants, water and wastewater pre filtration, marine fuel separators, and screen packs for pharmaceutical and beverage processing. In food plants it is used as a support layer under finer filter media, and in workshops it is cut into discs for injection moulding machines and extruder breaker plates. Because the cloth is weldable and formable, fabricators also use it to build cylindrical filter baskets, candle filters and flame arrestor elements.

If your process runs hot or salty, tell us the medium and the working temperature and we will confirm whether 316L is sufficient or whether a duplex or super duplex grade would give a longer service interval. If your requirement is finer than 150 micron, the same construction is available in twill weave and in dutch weave down to 5 micron nominal ratings.

Each roll is wrapped in waterproof paper, sealed, and packed in a wooden case or on a fumigated pallet, with the roll axis supported so the cloth cannot crease in transit. Every batch is checked for mesh count, wire diameter, aperture and width before packing, and a mill test certificate for the wire heat number is issued with the shipping documents. We also welcome third party inspection and can supply SGS or BV reports when your purchasing procedure requires them.
