Black Color Mild Steel Woven Wire Mesh Suitable for General Engineering Applications

Mild Steel is also called Plain Steel, or Low Carbon Steel, and it is widely used, because of relatively inexpensive. Though it easily corrodes, it is still strong and durable for general use in a short time under normal conditions. It has a low carbon content (up to 0.3%) and then the material was not very brittle or ductile, making it suitable and economical for welding, bending, forming, and general engineering applications.

Due to its poor corrosion resistance, mild steel wire must be coated with epoxy powder, zinc, PVC or otherwise protected and sealed, or the mesh would be damaged very easily by rust or corrosion from outside. A light coating of oil or grease, or other material could help slow down the process of rust and corrosion.

Uses: Black mild steel wire mesh is mainly used in filter discs for filtration in the rubber industry, plastic industry, and grains.
Material: Low carbon steel wire, Q195 is the most common in China.
Patterns: Plain weave, twilled weave, plain dutch weave, and twilled dutch weave. While the plain weave is the most popular and common type.
Most of these woven types are with square mesh openings, while Dutch weave is with the rectangular opening.
General sizes: Normally we provide mild steel woven mesh from 1mesh to 80mesh, with standard roll sizes of 1mx25m/30m, 1.22mx30.5m(4'x100').
Customized sizes are also available.
